Dark Moon was co-founded by Helen Lowe. Dark Moon was based in West London and used an IBM Composer. They had close links with Bread 'n Roses. Dark Moon and Bread 'n Roses shared the work of typsetting for Spare Rib magazine.
Helen Lowe died in 2011.
